For buyers
The fibre-optic
network is comprised of several different layers. From the backbone Reggefiber constructs
a passive network up to the meter cupboard in the home. This FttH network of
Reggefiber is leased in an open model to active operators who connect the
passive fibre (‘dark fibre’) and who in turn provide a wholesale communication
transmission service to service providers. The different service providers then
provide their services to consumers. Consumers can subscribe to services over
fibre-optic cable from various service providers.
Reggefiber makes
its passive infrastructure available to parties who take on the active layer
through the ODF (Optical Distribution Frame) offer. In addition, Reggefiber
also uses the active layer itself through its wholesale service (Wholesale Optical Fibre Service Agreement).
